When nearly three quarters of Brits (72%)* like to receive fragrance as a gift, it should come as no surprise that The Fragrance Shop have already started to see a peak in online searches for Christmas Gifts.
But while fragrance is one of the most popular gift items for the festive season, it is also one of the most risky. Being one of the most personal and special gifts someone can receive, selecting which fragrance to give that special someone can feel overwhelming.
With under 12 weeks to go until the big day, Adam Anderson, The Fragrance Shop’s Commercial Director, has looked into seasonal trends and sales patterns from the past 12 months to predict the top 10 fragrances you will be sure to find gifting success with this Christmas.
Dior – Sauvage | 60ml EDT | Prices from £52
First launched in 2015, Sauvage was the runaway success in men’s fragrance. A radically fresh composition, natural ingredients prevail in excessive doses.

Jean Paul Gaultier – Scandal | 30ml EDP | Prices from £44
It’s been over a decade since we were introduced to a new female fragrance from Jean Paul Gaultier, and Scandal is one way to make a lasting impression. Stepping away from his trademark corset, Mr Gaultier has unveiled a scent for every woman that is literally flying off the shelves.
Housed in a bottle that everyone is talking about, Scandal is a delicious fresh honey scent during the day, before transforming at night into a sensual and scandalous honey combined with patchouli – an addiction that’s just so Jean Paul Gaultier.
Chanel – Gabrielle | 50ml EDP | Prices from £79
