Keep your eyes peeled for a laid-back world of sofas, beds and furniture coming to Mell Square in late July. Loaf’s Solihull shack, and its first store in the Midlands, boasts a 5000 square-foot space filled with mattress testing stations, oodles of squishy sofas and even arcade games for little (and not-so-little) loafers to enjoy. Moving into the impressive space on Mill Lane North, Loaf adds a new furnishing experience – expanding the existing homeware offering at Mell Square, which includes Liv’s, Sharps Bedrooms, Farrow & Ball and Le Creuset amongst others.
Loaf’s new shack, made unmissable by the trademark blue lava tiles, fronting the Warwick Road, opposite House of Fraser, is easily accessible with plenty of public transport and parking nearby. Mell Square has capacity for 1,500 spaces including disabled access, parent and child parking, as well as bicycle parking – for more information visit the parking page on our website.
Rob Hemus, Asset Director for IM Properties, says “The addition of an aspirational retailer like Loaf is a great asset to not only Mell Square, but Solihull as a town. Creating further reasons to visit Mill Lane, Loaf is another great brand to add to the homeware offering within Mell Square and we cannot wait for its doors to open!”
Loaf’s founder, Charlie Marshall, says: “Solihull is a stone’s throw from Birmingham, the UK’s second-largest metropolis. It will be the place to put your feet up in the Midlands and loaf around on our squishy wares.
“[The shack has] the perfect recipe for a happy life in the slow lane, and its high time we brought our comfy wares [to the area]. We can’t wait to open the doors!”
We hope to see you loafing around in the new shack soon. Follow us on social, using the handles @MellSquare on Facebook and Instagram and @MellSquare_UK on Twitter, to keep up to date with all things Mell Square.
