On 20 and 21 September, Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is opening a brand-new store in Solihull, located in Mell Square. To celebrate the opening, the Bank will be hosting a huge two-day grand opening party and is inviting the whole town to join.
Metro Bank is the first new high street bank to open in the UK in over 100 years, and at a time when other traditional players in the industry are closing branches, it continues to open more stores – according to analysis from Which?, the West Midlands alone has seen more than 230 branch closures since 2015.
At Metro Bank, stores act as hubs for the local community. The new Solihull store will host business networking events throughout the year and deliver the Bank’s free financial education programme, Money Zone, for schools and youth groups.
It’s all about bringing personal service and convenience back to banking. Customers can set up an account within 20 minutes and leave with their debit card in hand, along with internet and mobile banking set-up plus the store will be open seven days a week, 362 days of the year, early til late so you can pop-in when it suits you.
This is why Metro Bank recently achieved the top spot in the Competition and Market Authority’s (CMA) Service Quality Survey among personal current account holders for overall service and no.2 for business current account customers, for the second time running.
Last month, the Bank opened its first store in the Midlands in the heart of Birmingham city centre and received a warm welcome from local residents and businesses alike, and it’s hoping to continue this in Solihull.
At the grand opening celebrations you’ll find face painting, stilt walkers and plenty of popcorn to go around. In the meantime look out for our Metro Bank colleagues who will be around the town sharing more information about the banking revolution.
